Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy describes how and when Guests (“you”, and “your”) are entitled to cancel their Reservation for a full or partial refund. Reservations that are cancelled by the operator are subject to the Operator Cancellation Policy. Reservations that are cancelled due to adverse events may be covered by the Major Disruptive Events Policy. Any refund that may be owed to you will be issued only to the payment method used to make the Reservation.

Charter Cancellation Policy

Private railcar charters are trips that are planned to your specification and itinerary, and are subject to this Charter Cancellation Policy. Planning a charter requires a significant investment of resources and time from the Operator, and must be planned far in advance. Cancelling charter Reservations can cause Operators to incur significant penalties from host railroads and other partners. Therefore, charter trips cancelled less than 35 days prior to the start date of a Reservation cannot and will not be refunded, except where covered by the Major Disruptive Events Policy.

Reservations cancelled 35 days or more from the start date of a Reservation will be refunded to the original payment method, minus any non-refundable deposit(s) and Platform Fee(s) paid or charged at the time of booking the reservation.

Ticketed Excursion Cancellation Policy

Reservations which are sold by Operators on a per-ticket basis are subject to this Ticketed Excursion Cancellation Policy. Reservations for ticketed excursions are fully refundable up to 35 days prior to the start of the trip, minus the Platform Fee. Reservations for ticketed excursions can be cancelled less than 35 days from the start date of the trip for a refund of 50% of the original purchase price.
