Itinerary

1. Seattle, WA
   Day 1 | Board in Seattle

   Guests board at Seattle's beautifully restored 1906 King Street Station, in the shadow of its iconic clock tower in Pioneer Square. Settle into your private railcar and enjoy a welcome reception as the train heads south along the southern reach of Puget Sound.

2. Tacoma, WA
   Day 1 | Commencement Bay and the Cascades

   A late-morning stop at Tacoma Dome Station with views of Commencement Bay and 14,411-foot Mount Rainier on a clear day, before the train heads south through the forests of southwestern Washington.

3. Portland, OR
   Day 1 | Crossing the Columbia into Oregon

   A spectacular early-afternoon crossing of the wide Columbia River into Oregon, then a service stop at Portland's iconic 1896 Union Station with its famous 'Go By Train' clock tower.

4. Salem, OR
   Day 1 | Heart of the Willamette Valley

   An afternoon run up the Willamette Valley past farms, vineyards, and the small Oregon capitals of Salem and Albany, with Mount Hood and the Three Sisters rising on the eastern horizon.

5. Eugene, OR
   Day 1 | Climbing the High Cascades

   The train climbs out of Eugene through 22 tunnels at over 4,800 feet, past Odell Lake at sunset and over the crest of the Oregon Cascades � among the most dramatic mountain railroading in America.

6. Dunsmuir, CA
   Day 2 | Cascade Mountain Morning

   Wake near Dunsmuir, California in the shadow of 14,179-foot Mount Shasta, with the snow-capped volcano dominating the horizon for nearly an hour as the train follows the upper Sacramento River south.

7. Oakland, CA
   Day 2 | The Bay at Midmorning

   Late morning brings the Bay Area: stops at Emeryville with skyline views of San Francisco across the water, Oakland's Jack London Square, and the elegant Italian Renaissance Diridon Station in San Jose.

8. Salinas, CA
   Day 2 | Steinbeck Country

   An afternoon run through the Salinas Valley � John Steinbeck's 'salad bowl of the world' � past lettuce and artichoke fields with the Diablo Range rising to the east.

   Day 2 | 100 Miles Along the Pacific

   The afternoon's centerpiece: roughly 100 miles of unbroken Pacific Ocean running between San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara, including the wild beaches of the Gaviota Coast and Vandenberg Space Force Base - views accessible only by train.

10. Santa Barbara, CA
    Day 2 | The American Riviera at Golden Hour

    An early-evening stop at the lovely 1905 Mission-Revival depot in Santa Barbara, just blocks from the beach and State Street, with the Santa Ynez Mountains rising behind the city in late-day light.

    Day 2 | Arrive in Los Angeles

    Pull into the iconic 1939 Los Angeles Union Station, a Mission/Streamline Moderne masterpiece in downtown LA. Disembark as your West Coast journey concludes.
