Two Harbors Turn

Departs from Duluth, MN (-)

Enjoy approximately 6 hours onboard

At the headwaters of the Great Lakes, enjoy a 6 hour full day adventure taking you for an unforgettable journey along the world's largest freshwater lake. Like the Northwoods Explorer adventure, your trip for up to 18 people begins at Historic Duluth Union Depot where your personal car attendant greets you. After you've settled in, your train departs and winds through downtown, along the Lakewalk and through Congdon Neighborhood. As your train travels further east, it quickens its pace through the majestic northwoods of Minnesota. Keep an eye out for cargo vessels navigating Lake Superior along with the flora and fauna native to the territory. You will encounter many bridges - some exceeding 50 feet in height - crossing stunning streams and small rivers. Past Knife River, your train approaches Two Harbors and eventually enters onto Canadian National Railroad trackage. Two Harbors Depot houses Lake County Historical Society and boasts a short walking distance to local shops, restaurants and attractions including Two Harbors Lighthouse Museum. Nearby, active ore docks put the steel industry's transportation segment on display as trains unload taconite for transfer to cargo vessel. Enjoy a 2 hour layover in Two Harbors to explore. Your return to Duluth on Head of the Lakes concludes a nearly 60-mile journey.

A variety of food and beverage options await you on Head of the Lakes. A booking agent will assist in selecting options best suited for your event.

Enjoy a complimentary gift bag as a token of our appreciation for riding Head of the Lakes. We hope to see you again!
